The first signs of pregnancy are morning sickness. Nausea and vomiting are the preliminary signs of pregnancy and most people say that this is a sign of healthy pregnancy. During this time, the placenta develops rapidly and there is a tug of war between the mother and the embryo which is inside the body over the resources available. Vomiting and nausea may occur at any time of the day. Mostly, the vomiting tendency stops during the 12th week of pregnancy.
There are a number of remedies for morning sickness. Apart from the allopathic drugs, a number of homemade remedies have been in use from time immemorial. They help in instant stopping. Some of the effective home based remedies for nausea and morning sickness are the following:
At home you can cut fresh lemons and keep them in front of you. The smell of fresh lemon is extremely helpful and may prevent further nausea and vomiting tendencies.
Ginger is another alternative. Use fresh ginger and place them inside your room. The smell of freshly cut ginger enhances your appetite and makes you feel better.
It is always advisable to eat small quantity of meal at a time. if you take a large quantity of meal then there may be a chance of your vomiting tendencies to recur. Moreover, the meals should be taken at least 45 minutes after meal.
