The persistent nausea during vomiting is called hyperemesis gravidarum. It occurs during the early stage of pregnancy in most women. The time of occurrence of this nausea and consequent vomiting varies in different cases. In most women, the vomiting occurs during the first hours of the morning, after waking up. This is because the stomach at this time of the day remains. Empty. Empty stomach induces vomiting tendencies and therefore nausea and subsequent vomiting occurs.
Moreover, when the stomach is tightly filled with foods, then also vomiting tendencies are common.
Therefore, a pregnant woman should be very careful while taking foods. Eating excess food and not eating anything are equally harmful for the child as well as the mother. If this nausea persists for a very long time, then it may lead to severe dehydration. This should be avoided since dehydration is extremely fatal for the mother and the baby as well. When there is a persistent level of vomiting and nausea then this should be reported to a doctor instantly. The physician may be able to predict the best medicine. Hyperemesis gravidarum is a severe form of morning sickness. The smell of freshly cut lemon and ginger is a remedy for morning sickness.
